Question: Is Traffix certified to handle hazardous materials?

Answer: No, if you need to ship hazardous materials (naturally occurring or man-made substances or organisms that are dangerous to life, health, property or the environment) our brokerage associate will contact one of our business associates who specialize in shipping hazardous materials.

 

Question: Is Traffix a customs broker?

Answer: No, we are a Third Party Logistics (3PL) Specialist. Customs brokers provide a different service entirely. They are regulated and empowered by the Canadian and U.S. governments to assist importers and exporters in meeting Federal requirments governing imports and exports. They have the expertise in the entry procedures, admissibility requirments, classification, valuation, and the rate of duty and applicable taxes and fees for inported merchandise.

 

Question: Is Traffix a bonded carrier?

Answer: Yes, Traffix is a bonded carrier which means that we are duly licensed against a guarantee or surety by customs to carry duty-unpaid goods

 

Question: Are your drivers FAST carded?
Answer: Yes, most of our drivers are FAST (Free and Secure Trade) carded which is an electronic system that allows freight drivers to travel in a fast traffic lane which is open only to electronically pre-cleared carriers and cargo.

 

Question: What is your fuel surcharge (FSC)?
Answer: The FSC fluctuates with the market. Please call for current percentages.

 

Question: Will I be credited for late deliveries?
Answer? A decision will be made on a case by case basis.

 

Question: How do I make a claim?
Answer: Please notify us immediately about damages, loss or shortages. Make sure you note it on the Bill of Lading (A Bill of Lading is a contract for the transport of goods between the shipper and the carrier. It specifies the carrier's duties and responsibilities for the property.). An “Intent to Claim” form will be forwarded to you. Please note that backup documentation/pictures plus additional information will be required.
